Hart Health Strategies Inc. was founded in 2002 by Vicki Hart, RN, MPH. We are a bi-partisan consulting and lobbying firm specializing in legislative and regulatory health care issue advocacy. The Hart Health Strategies Inc. team has extensive experience working on federal health care legislation and the rulemaking and regulatory process for implementing health programs. Our experience has been forged through an intimate involvement in policymaking and program analysis at the Legislative and Executive Branch levels. Our expertise is broad, with team members having worked on a variety of health issues across several disciplines.
Our team has long-standing experience in strategic planning, coalition building, educating key Members of Congress and Administration officials on important health issues, advocating for health-related federal funding, and conducting public policy research. We have bipartisan legislative expertise and multi-talented backgrounds in health-related fields, including nursing, epidemiology, and health information management. Our team actively fosters relationships with Members of Congress, key health committee staff, and personal member office staff of both political parties. Our relationships extend to the White House, and across the agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The Hart Health Strategies Inc. team has served as senior health staff for House and Senate committees with jurisdiction and oversight over healthcare issues. Our team members have been responsible for planning more than twenty Congressional hearings and negotiating a wide range of health-related legislation, including the most recent reorganization of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), several reauthorizations of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA); health insurance reform; reorganizing the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ); the small business provisions of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and other coronavirus related economic and health legislation, and additional legislation related to other public health programs. Given our experience and institutional knowledge, we know how to interface with Congress regularly on behalf of our clients to ensure priorities are executed.
